Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers restore or enhance volume in various areas of the face. They are commonly used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of ageing and add fullness to areas such as lip fillers, cheek enhancement, jawline fillers, non-surgical nose job, chin augmentation, and tear trough.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers help to reduce facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face, lip fillers to plump the lip or non-surgical nose job. As we age, our faces naturally lose fat. The facial muscles then work closer to the skin surface, making smile lines and crow’s feet more noticeable.
The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, lifestyle and genetics.
Most fillers have hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring substance that delivers volume to the skin. Fillers are not permanent. How long they last depends on the filler type and where to inject it. They usually last between 6 and 18 months.
At HSA Dermal Clinic, we will help you add fullness and volume to your face with Richmond’s best dermal filler treatments.
What Dermal Fillers can do
Dermal fillers can help those with early signs of ageing or as a value-added part of facial rejuvenation.
- To plump up thin lips and smooth out wrinkle lines found around the edges of the lips.
- To add volume and smooth out deep creases, or laugh lines, running from the nose to the mouth.
- To fill out any hollows or depressions under the eyes. (Tear Trough)
- Non-surgical nose job
- To augment cheeks and improve their shape.
- To fill out gauntness in the temple and lower cheek areas.
Facial Volume Loss
We can all tell when we’re looking older, but many of us don’t realise that this is due to ‘volume loss’ and that our faces start to sag or sink as we age. In most cases, surgical procedures can tighten the skin and muscle and reduce sagging but can not restore lost volume.
Those areas on the face that typically lose volume are the brow, cheeks and lips. As the cheeks lose volume, they lower or sag from their usual high position near the eyes.
As a result, folds will appear from the corners of the nose to the mouth. Also, folds will become visible from just beneath the corners of the mouth and around the jowls.
Therefore, we recommend dermal fillers for face treatment. These injections add volume, rejuvenate the facial area and produce a natural-looking improvement and youthfulness.
Lip Augmentation and Contouring
Lip augmentation and lip contouring is a non-surgical, dermal filler treatment which gives proper definition to the contour of your lips. This highly desirable treatment helps create a beautiful lip outline in the form of a cupid’s bow. In addition, We use fillers to reduce those unsightly smokers’ lines above the upper lip and improve the definition of the lower philtrum – the channel between the nose and upper lip.
The procedure involves a series of lip filler injections at specific points along the outline of the lip contour (vermillion border). This dermal lip filler gently redefines the lips’ contour and shape; the effects can last anywhere between 6-9 months.
Lip augmentation can also reduce the appearance of those fine vertical lines above and around the lip area and correct asymmetric lips. To maintain the aesthetic appearance of your lips, it’s a good idea to undergo treatments every six months or so.
Lip Filler
If your lips are thin or not well-defined, and you’d like them to be full and plump, then a lip filler procedure is the way to go. Fuller and more luscious lips are the top priority on most beauty wish lists.
Lip filler is safe and straightforward and uses hyaluronic acid injections. There are several market types: Juvederm Volbella, Juvederm ultra smile, Boletero Balance, Boletero Intense, Teosyl Redensity II and Restylane Silk.
At HSA Dermal Clinic, we use top brands such as JUVÉDERM® VOLIFT, JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA, and others that contain a local anaesthetic called lidocaine, making the injections painless. The treatment lasts anywhere between 6 to 12 months.
Lip Filler Before and after
Cheek Augmentation
Over time, our faces lose fat which can cause the cheeks to sag and leave us with a hollow, gaunt look. Although some people are born with naturally high cheekbones, others are not so lucky. Cheek fillers treatment uses injections with dense dermal fillers such as JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA and Boletero Volume. These dermal fillers work remarkably well, enhancing facial features and giving a refreshed look.
Cheek augmentation treatments restore the volume, definition and plumpness of the cheeks so that you can look forward to a more youthful-looking you. Fillers are injected by either using a needle or a cannula.
Tear Trough Filler
Tear troughs are those small hollows, circles, or depressions that run from your nose to the area under your eyes. Over time, this part of the face suffers from sagging, and wrinkles usually develop. This area often turns dark and baggy, making us look drawn and older.
A lack of sleep, an unhealthy lifestyle and ageing cause sagginess in this part of the face. As a result, facial fat is lost, especially just under the eyes and around the top of the cheeks.
Tear trough treatment is quick and easy and involves the injection of a tear trough filler such as JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA or Teosyl Redensity II, or Boletero Balance. We inject just above the bones of the eye sockets to fill the hollows or depressions. Once injected, we gently massage the filler into the fatty tissues underneath the eyes.
Tear trough treatment gets rid of the unsightly dark areas and hollows under the eyes and plumps up the loose, sagging skin. In so doing, wrinkles disappear, those dreaded dark circles fade, and they return to their normal skin tone.
Jawline filler, Jawline enhancement and definition
The best non-surgical way to improve the look of your jawline and jowls is by having jawline filler. If your jawline has started to sag, lacks definition, or is crooked or lopsided, then jaw augmentation treatment is a good idea.
During the jawline enhancement process, small amounts of dermal filler are injected at several places along the jawline. This fills the skin from the inside out and alters the contours of the jaw area. The results are a more prominent and well-defined jawline.
The facial filler for this treatment plumps the loose, sagging skin around the ja, makings you look more youthful. The jaw enhancement procedure only takes around 30 minutes, with no bandages.
The type of fillers in this area usually volumise high viscosity and high-density fillers.
Chin Filler, Chin reshaping and enhancement
A non-surgical chin augmentation involves the injection of dermal fillers and is a safe and very effective treatment. The dermal filler (hyaluronic acid injections) acts as a facial filler, and a collagen booster is injected into the chin to augment and shape the jawline area. The filler is injected into the chin to augment and shape the jawline area. We inject chin fillers either at the point of the chin or along the jawline, depending on the treatment required.
Following the hyaluronic acid injections, it’s a good idea to undergo gentle massage and moulding sessions, as this helps complete the treatment and achieve the desired aesthetic appearance. Chin augmentation treatments take
Non-Surgical Nose Job
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty
We use dermal fillers (most commonly hyaluronic acid fillers like JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA) for a non-surgical nose job procedure to change and shape the nose without invasive surgery.
Specific areas around the nose are treated this way and help to reshape and redefine the nasal bridge. Non-surgical nose job treatment is perfect for rebuilding and shaping a flattened or crooked nasal bridge without removing any vital nasal cartilage. Plus, there’s very little, if any, pain, bleeding or swelling afterwards.
Temple Treatment
One area of the face where ageing causes apparent changes is around the temples. Losing the volume in the temple region gives the face a drawn, thin, or hollow look.
At HSA Dermal Clinic, we can add volume to these areas by injecting them with dermal fillers. This procedure is a highly effective and natural-looking way to restore ageing around the temples. Treating them with a filler such as JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA or JUVÉDERM® ULTRA improves the look dramatically.
A temple treatment with these fillers lasts longer than ordinary dermal fillers, resulting in a natural rejuvenation. The technique used in injecting the filler would be either needle injections directly on the bone or superficial injections utilising a cannula.
